Abbey and Jacob’s love story has been nothing short of a whirlwind. They first met each other at church and knew very quickly where the Lord was leading them. Speaking of a whirlwind, we were under a tornado watch during this engagement session! That’s what we call February in Alabama. Rescheduling was going to cause some timing issues, so we decided braving the storm was our best option!

The Birmingham Botanical Garden greenhouse is one of my favorite spots to find a luscious, green background in the dead of winter. The storm provided the perfect overcast lighting! But we soon realized we were standing in the middle of an all-glass building, so it was time to move on…quickly!

We hopped on over to 2nd and Charles book store because Jacob LOVES book! And it was quite a bit safer. Plus, we has so much fun leaning into a mysterious, flirty academia vibe for these photos. I just love how they turned out!

We played hide and seek between the shelves, picked up some of their favorite novels, snuggled in between the aisles and enjoyed being inside while it rained and poured!

These two are the chillest of the chill, and I’m so looking forward to their wedding day next month! Abbey has planned out the say do it is calm, peaceful and all about the Lord and their relationship. Check back on the blog soon to see it all come together!
