Botanical Gardens Bride and Groom Anniversary Session, Birmingham AL: The Bradfords

This one is a great story.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This very day last year, Ann + Jackson got married at a church off 280 with 25-30 of their very closest people. It was an intimate ceremony with livestream, FaceTime friends, a car parade and friends who surprised them by showing up with confetti poppers!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They planned a second, big celebration for October 2020, but unfortunately Jackson tested positive the day before. They were gutted to cancel everything, as one would be!! So I told them that when the time feels right, reach out and schedule a bride + groom session because we only got a couple of portraits on May 23, 2020.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As spring 2021 rolled around and Ann was seeing all these beautiful weddings on social media, it was natural that she felt a lack of closure and was sad that her Dad would never see her in the dress!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So one day, she prayed that the Lord would either help her heart move on or that He would bring some closure for them. THE VERY NEXT DAY, I happened to reach out and check in to see if they wanted to schedule something.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was nothing of my own doing, which is just another reminder to me that God works through my business to bless people and honour Him!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ann + Jackson dressed up in their wedding attire and had a first look with her sweet Dad at Botanical Gardens. Then, she changed into a phenomenal silk dress, and we blasted my car speakers for the whole second half of the session with a view of the whole city!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We started with “Coming Home” by Leon Bridges, their first dance song, and the playlist just so perfectly fit the vibe of the session — all the wedding classics like “What A Wonderful World,” “You Are The Best Thing” and “Forever Like That” 😭
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Happy anniversary, Ann + Jackson! Love you both so much and thankful for Jesus in you.
