When I asked Nicole and Ben to tell me about their love story, they told me they “just clicked.” They had been dating for a while, and both of them knew without a doubt that their relationship was meant to be. Ben proposed at Lake Martin where they’ll soon be getting married, so the location will hold plenty of beautiful memories. It will be really special to photograph and capture those memories for them!

The day we met up with each other, the sky was much more overcast than I prefer for a photoshoot. The clouds challenged me to look for new locations that could provide the light I needed, and it ended up allowing us to shoot in a different direction than normal. This area of Crest Road made us feel like we were in Ireland! I’m really pleased with how the photos turned out, and I hope Nicole and Ben are too!

We talked a lot more than I usually do at a session, and I really enjoyed getting to know the two of them. We are all Samford grads, so we talked plenty about our alma mater. Nicole works at Samford in events, and Ben is in software engineering. They were honestly just so sweet and kind, and I could clearly see the love they have for each other. I had a feeling that love would reveal itself in these photos, and boy was I right! These two are just the cutest, and I’m looking forward to capturing their wedding for them next year!
