Christine + Sam: Engagement Photos at the Botanical Gardens

Sometimes you stumble upon a couple that is so in love, so beautiful together and so natural in front of the camera that it’s virtually impossible to make them look bad. Well, that’s pretty much what happened with Christine and Sam. From the moment we met up at the Botanical Gardens and I snapped the first photo of their engagement session, I had a feeling their gallery would become a favourite of mine, and boy was I right!

Christine and Sam have been dating for a few years now. They met while working for the same company, and the way Sam describes it, it was love at first sight! After navigating long distance during the pandemic, moving to Denver, CO together and then moving here to Birmingham just a few weeks ago, they’re ready to finally settle down somewhere and start their married life together!

Christine and Sam are the kind of people that you can easily become friends with, despite having just met! We wandered around the botanical gardens just talking about life and laughing together. They were genuinely so pleasant to be around, and I’m already looking forward to the next time we get to hang out. Making friends through photography is one of my favourite parts of this special job!

If you can’t already tell of how incredible they both look, Christine did a bit of modeling in the past, and Sam was a quick learner. Plus, it’s so obvious how comfortable they are in each other’s presence. Getting comfortable can be the hardest part of a portrait session, but thankfully that wasn’t a challenge for these two!

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to meet Christine and Sam and to capture a bit of this exciting time in their life together. I wish them all the best at their upcoming wedding, and can’t wait to see them again soon!
