get to know me
I met Elizabeth while touring Bluff Park’s newest event venue, Oris & Oak. Her family owns and manages the venue, so Elizabeth knows a thing or two about the wedding world. She and I hit it off immediately, and became even better friends after finding out that we got engaged just a few weeks apart from each other!
Wedding planning is such a unique experience, and relating to Elizabeth felt like a breath of fresh air. I was so honoured when a few weeks after meeting, she reached out to inquire about her wedding photography! I was thrilled to begin working with her and Alex, and this engagement session was the best way to get to know them as a couple. Linn Park was the perfect starting point – flirty, classy and elegant!
Both Elizabeth and Alex were coming off a hectic work day, so we used our time together to chill out and unwind. If there’s one thing I want my couples to remember after an engagement session (besides how much they love each other), it’s that they had FUN! I want these moments to feel effortless, even if the rest of wedding planning never does. I feel like you can see the stress melt off them in these photos taken up on Crest Road.
As we wrapped up our session, I found myself wishing for more time together. Thankfully, on October 25, I’ll be spending the whole day with Elizabeth and Alex at Oris & Oak! I already know the day will be beautiful, and I’m truly thrilled to be capturing it.
