Friends, this engagement session is a special one, and I’m so excited to be able to share it with you all! Emma and Patrick recently booked me for their wedding next June, and I couldn’t be more honoured to be capturing that day. They wanted their engagement photos to give off some sweet, summer vibes, so we scheduled their session ASAP! Although there were lots of falling leaves, Jemison Trail gave us plenty of green even at the end of October.

There’s the sweetest little creek that flows through Jemison Park, and naturally, we had to kick off our shoes and step in. Patrick proposed to Emma on a dock at Lake Martin, so the water feature made for a nice homage to where their engagement story began!

Our next stop was the Birmingham Botanical Gardens! The greenhouse is lush and green alllll year long, so it’s always the perfect spot to find some summer foliage even in the fall and winter. While we explored, I got to hear more about Emma and Patrick’s lives and learn just how perfect they are for each other. These two have been together since high school, and it’s obvious that they are each other’s best friend!

Emma and Patrick made this session so fun to capture, and I’m thankful to have the honour of being a part of this sweet season of their lives! Be on the lookout next June when I’ll have the privilege of sharing their wedding gallery – I can already tell it’s going to be a special one.
