I’ve been thinking about James and Faith’s engagement session for weeks. From the moment they first reached out, I knew this sweet couple was going to be such a joy to work with and capture. And as it turns out, I was right! In between all the laughter and getting to know each other, I had the privilege of admiring their tenderness and love for one another. To say this session was special would be an understatement.
Our session began at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Faith and James coordinated their first outfit in the sweetest shades of blue and looked so in love! The leaves were just beginning to fall and the temperature couldn’t have been better for us. As we wandered through the grounds, we made our way over to the Japanese Gardens! This section provides so many unique backdrops (hello, bamboo!), making it one of my favourite spots to photograph in the gardens.
James grew up on Vestavia Drive, which means his view off the mountaintop was an everyday occurrence. Yes, I am jealous. Naturally, they selected James’s backyard for our second location, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Actually, there is perhaps one thing that could make this situation more perfect, and that’s if Maple, Faith’s dog, joined us for the session…
Faith and James are getting married in February of 2025! They’ve been working diligently on wedding planning, and already have the beginnings of an incredible vendor team. Shoutout to Threefold Events, Hayes Floral, Vestavia Country Club and Decor To Adore! I’ll see you guys there! 😉
