Lauren and Eli’s favourite go-to date idea is discovering a new restaurant in town. They stay up to date on all the best places to eat in Birmingham, and wanted their engagement session to reflect their passion! We reached out to Luca Lagotto, a relatively new and incredibly tasty Italian spot in Homewood, and they were kind enough to let us show up for a private photography session!
Ryan and I went to Luca to celebrate with our families the night we got engaged, so it was special to visit again and photograph Lauren and Eli at the same table we sat at just a few months ago! The restaurant is so well designed, and there were plenty of fun places to pose (and plenty of tasty fries to eat!).
Lauren and Eli have been dating for two years now, and will be getting married next summer at The Barn at Shady Lane! They’re having a ton of fun wedding planning (just another thing we bonded over!) and are not-so-patiently counting down the days until May 16!
We spent the last bit of our session up on Crest Road, and I was reminded once again why it’s my favourite spot in town! As the sun began to set, Lauren and Eli changed outfits and brought the best attitudes, despite the sweaty July weather. We had a blast spending this time together and getting to know each other more before their wedding day next May.
