Trilith, Atlanta Surprise Proposal: Sarah + Austin

My little sister is engaged!

Last weekend, Austin proposed at Trilith in Fayetteville, Georgia. It sits on the south side of Atlanta at 1,000 acres and houses beautiful homes, movie studios, workspaces and restaurants. Having dated for two years, Austin and Sarah have enjoyed spending time at Trilith (formerly known as Pinewood). They frequently wander through beautiful architectural outdoor spaces, get ice cream and enjoy each other’s company, so Austin saw it fit to ask her to marry him there!

On Saturday, he convinced her to dress up and eat at Amici’s Pizza in Trilith. Surprisingly she didn’t think anything of it, and they had a great time eating. They grabbed gelato afterward in the 95-degree heat and stopped at a spot they like to frequent. Sarah took her heels off and trudged through tall grass (I know this because I was creeping behind a van with my long lens!), they spent a few minutes by the lake and then after sitting in the car’s air conditioning for a while, they ended up at the final spot.

I’ll be honest: I had a hard time gearing up emotionally for the final spot because it all happened so quickly! Austin plopped down on one knee, Sarah cried and they were all of sudden engaged! Ansley, Eric (Austin’s sister and brother-in-law) and I popped out of our hiding spot to celebrate, take pictures and pop petal confetti, then we all ended up at my parents’ house for our families to celebrate!

I’m excited for these two and hope you enjoy seeing all the fun emotions of this day!
