Childs Family | Railroad Park Family Session, Birmingham, AL

I met Emma in a Sunday School room six years ago. She was a sweet seventh grader, eager to learn more about the Bible and be discipled alongside four other girls. Now she’s about to be a college freshman at Auburn and I’m getting nostalgic about how grown up and beautiful she is now!

Since meeting six years ago and discipling her until now, I’ve become friends with her family and believe they are the best of the best. I photographed them three years ago and it was a treat to capture them once again. They are energetic, servant-hearted, kind, a ton of fun, thoughtful, evangelistically-minded, hard workers and so caring. We met at Southside Baptist Church for the first set of portraits and caravanned to Railroad Park to catch the last of the evening’s light. People were throwing frisbees on the lawn, skateboarding across the bridge, running football drills and strolling by the water. It was a beautiful evening and I’m thankful to have spent time with this great family!
