Pinewood Forest Family Session

January 3, 2020

Exuberant: “filled with or characterized by a lively energy and excitement.”

This is how I would describe Mary Lynn Kirby. She is lively, energetic, thoughtful, passionate, an encourager, strong, wise and loves her family big.

The Kirbys and McKirlands were all in Fayetteville over Christmas — a very rare treat for them all — so it was an honour to spend an hour with them walking around Pinewood Forest. They moved to the development in recent years and have thoroughly enjoyed the community, amenities and lifestyle. As we walked throughout the neighbourhood, Hugh and Mary Lynn knew most people who passed us. It’s not surprising, though, since most of Fayetteville knows the Kirbys 😉 Not simply because they have lived in town for a long time, but because of the eternal investment and impact they have had on so many.

In this season especially, the Kirbys have testified to God’s goodness on a larger scale. A few months ago, Mary Lynn was diagnosed with two forms of aggressive cancer and started a clinical trial shortly after. Many people have prayed, and the Lord has answered in big ways so far. We are continuing to pray for healing and God’s glory to be displayed!

Family pictures were a big priority for their family this Christmas since Christa, Matt, Raya and John will be moving to New Zealand and Josh lives in Los Angeles. Man, what a privilege it was to spend a morning with this amazing family documenting this phase of life with lots of laughs, some dry heaving to make John smile and climbing on any surface imaginable. Kirbys and McKirlands — you’re the best of the best and we love you!
