The Creel family met me at Samford for their mini session, and when I walked up, I literally gasped. The leaves were putting on the most unreal fall show. There was gold, orange and red everywhere you looked! It felt like we stepped right into a fall postcard, and the Creels fit right into that dreamy backdrop. James and Heather have such a peaceful presence, and their kids were so easygoing and kind right from the start!
Sam is in 5th grade and at that perfect age where he’s still playful but also clearly becoming a very thoughtful guy. Katherine, a freshman in high school, is sweet and grounded and has the most stunning smile! And then there’s Claire, their grown up, beautiful, graduating senior! I’m photographing her full senior session this spring, so getting to know her beforehand made this shoot even more special. She’s warm, fun, and has such a bright future ahead.
This was my first time photographing the Creel family, and they were absolute naturals. I loved capturing each of the kids in their unique seasons of life, and can’t wait to see Claire again in the spring. New faces in front of my camera always bring an extra spark, and these five were so easy to connect with!
