If you’ve been following my blog for the past year or so, you might recognize Erin and Payton Gardner, the brand new Mom and Dad to baby Cooper! I had the honour of capturing Erin and Payton’s wedding last May (and it was one of my favorites!), so I was beyond thrilled when Erin reached out to say they were expecting and wanted to shoot a newborn session!

They’re finally feeling settled into their cozy new home in Greystone, and they’ve put so much love and care into Cooper’s sweet nursery! Erin is currently enjoying a six-month maternity leave, and she’s making every moment count. She confessed to me that she had no idea how much she’d love being a mom and just how obsessed she’d be with her baby boy!

Cooper is the Gardner’s first baby, and in my experience shooting newborn sessions, every set of parents handles their firstborn in different ways. I was so impressed by how laid back and confident they were with Cooper! Of course, it helped that Cooper seems to be the best baby. He was so cooperative for our session!

It’s such a sweet privilege to photograph this next incredible milestone in Erin and Payton’s life together, and I can’t wait to see them become the very best parents as Cooper grows!
