I’ve photographed the Primm family since before Catherine was even born, and every year since! It’s one of the sweetest parts of this job, getting to watch families grow right in front of my lens. Elizabeth and I worked together at Samford for two years, and I’m so grateful our friendship has continued long after. Their girls, Catherine and Abigail, are the sweetest of sisters, and every session with them is full of little giggles.
This year’s 15-minute mini session at Altadena Valley Park was no different. The girls have gotten so big! They’re juggling both gymnastics and soccer like pros, and Catherine just got baptized! They always ease right into photos as soon as we start chatting and exploring. These 15 minutes with the Primms felt like a warm little catch-up rather than a rushed session, and that’s my favorite kind.
And of course, they brought along their newest family member: Benny! At eight months old, he is the fuzziest little pup and honestly stole the show more than once. Watching the girls love on him, run around in the golden light, and just enjoy being together made this mini session feel extra sweet. I adore this family and love documenting their milestones year after year.
