Christmas in Georgia

I love a little Christmas blog every year…. to bring you into my personal life, introduce you to my family and share some sweet pictures from such a fun day!

Every Christmas morning, we girls run downstairs, stockings in hand, and sit on my parents bed. We bring pillows and wear onesies and open our stockings together! Then, we open a few gifts before helping prepare our traditional English Christmas lunch. It includes: sausages wrapped in bacon, turkey, dressing, stuffing (with apricots), brussels sprouts (yes, it’s brussels), carrots, parsnips, red cabbage and a few other vegetables! It’s so yummy and we leave the table stuffed!

My favourite part of Christmas is singing carols on Christmas Eve by the tree. My Dad plays guitar excellently, and we came out of the womb harmonizing. It’s a treat! The actual day tends to rush by, but I’m thankful to spread it across Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, which always includes a three-mile walk and eating mince pies 🙂

Merry Christmas from a Brit living in the South. I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and are filled with the hope of Christ.

Love, Eleanor
