IGnite, Take Flight!

Step Sing is a huge tradition at Samford. Since 1976, Step Sing has been hosted inside Samford’s Wright Center–a big and beautiful and auditorium with a famed slanted stage.

This year, 900 students participated in an insane three-week run of practice every night. Each group practiced choreography, singing, formations and facial expressions for 40 hours before performing four times for the general public and Samford community.

This has been my third year in Step Sing and second year in the group IGnite. The reason our group was created is to unite independents and those in Greek life. I believe IGnite attracts some of the most energetic girls on campus; it just kinda happens. Here is a link to our enLIGHTening show 🙂

Huge congrats to Pi Kappa Phi, Zeta Tau Alpha and Sigma Chi on their excellent shows! This is one of three blog posts on Step Sing…. the next two will be the first and second half of the show!
