Emily + David: Watermark Community Church in Dallas, TX

This past April I hopped on a flight to Dallas, TX to see Emily and David get MARRIED! Emily has been one of my besties since 8th grade! Being asked to photograph this beautiful day was the greatest honour.

When Emily met David for the first time, she had never dated anyone before. She’d prayed since she was 12 years old that she would marry the first person she dated. On April 15th, that prayer came true! Watching Emily get ready that morning to marry the man she prayed for all her life was such a beautiful reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness.

Emily’s family could not have been more excited for her. It’s always sweet to see families come together on wedding days to celebrate the ones they love! Emily gifted both of her parents with embroidered handkerchiefs, thanking them for their love and support (and to wipe away those happy tears during the ceremony!).

Emily and David are a few years apart from each other. So, although they went to the same church, they didn’t cross paths for a while. Thankfully, after many years in Dallas, Emily finally met David. And the rest is history! All those years of waiting for each other made this first look so incredibly special!!!

Watermark Community Church has some of the most beautiful church grounds I have ever seen! It was the perfect spot to take their couple’s portraits. Emily and David laughed, relaxed, enjoyed each others presence and got pumped for the ceremony ahead!!!

Before heading to rest and freshen up for the ceremony, we met up with the rest of the bridal party to snap a few group shots. These guys were Emily and David’s biggest hype-men and women the whole day!

As guests began to arrive, we slipped back inside to freshen up and say a prayer over Emily and David. You could feel all the excitement in the air! One of our good friends, Andrea, wasn’t able to make it to the ceremony, so a cardboard cutout of her head made an appearance instead!

The ceremony was a beautiful display of love, joy and God’s kindness. Emily and David are just so in love with each other. It’s clear they were meant for each other!

And then we were off to an awesome night of celebrating the Hopes! Everyone had a blast hanging out with one another, eating an awesome meal, drinking lattes from an adorable little coffee shop and cheering on Emily and David!

Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you to all the incredible vendors that made this day possible for Emily and David. We couldn’t have done it without each of your amazing talents!
