June 28, 2025 was full of smiles, happy tears, big hugs, lots of sweat and a ton of bubbles. Emma and Patrick were married at Belle Farm, a beautiful, rustic venue located just an hour southeast of Birmingham in Sterrett, AL. They were joined by their family and the sweetest group of friends to celebrate the start of forever!
Emma and her girls got ready in Belle Farm’s bridal suite, singing along to a custom wedding day playlist and laughing the morning away together.
Emma was absolutely radiant, and she hadn’t even put on her wedding dress yet! I just had to take a few portraits of her in her adorable getting ready outfit.
I took a few minutes to capture some of Emma and Patrick’s personal details, like their handwritten letters that were to be read at their first look. The whole day was full of intentional, sentimental moments just like that.
Emma and Patrick were overjoyed to see each other at their first look. This is the moment in the day when the Bride and Groom can finally breathe easy. They’re together, and that’s all that matters!
At this point, we were feeling the heat. They may have been covered in sweat, but Emma and Patrick didn’t bat an eye. There were only beautiful, big smiles! I even convinced them to take a leap of faith and hop in the canoe on Belle Farm’s lake. These photos were so fun to capture, even though I may or may not have ran my drone into a tree in the process.
These bridesmaids and groomsmen were the best cheerleaders all day long, despite the crazy heat. Emma and Patrick are kind, joyful and loyal friends, and I know their wedding party would agree!
The ceremony was a gorgeous celebration of Emma and Patrick’s covenant to each other. A special seat was reserved at the end of the aisle for Emma’s mother who had previously passed, decorated with vibrant purple irises. Guests wiped away tears as Emma walked down the aisle with her father, knowing that her mom was smiling down on them all!
Everyone shouted and cheered as Emma and Patrick, now married, walked out of their ceremony and into forever. That moment right after a couple’s recession is so surreal – it takes a second for it all to sink in! Before joining the reception, we captured some sunset portraits and gave them an extra few minutes to soak it all up.
Emma and Patrick had so much fun partying with their guests the rest of the evening. They ate great food, cut an incredibly tasty cake, and danced until their feet hurt! It’s not often I see guests actually attempt to do “the worm” on the dance floor these days, but when I do, it’s always hilarious.
The Loftuses finished the evening with a private last dance. Between the weight of the day finally setting in and the light silhouetting them on the dance floor, this moment was pure magic.
Emma and Patrick walked out the door to find that it was absolutely pouring outside, but that didn’t stop guests from blowing the most bubbles I have ever seen at an exit! This moment was as hilarious as it was beautiful, and I know they’ll remember it forever.
Congratulations, Emma and Patrick, on an absolutely beautiful wedding day and the start of an even greater lifetime together!
