One of my dearest friends is ENGAGED!

Emily and I lived together for three years and got to walk together in the ups and downs of dating. But when Addison came on the scene, that was it for Emily. Seven months of dating, and it’s undeniable that the future Dukes will be a force for the kingdom and better together!

Addison planned an intimate, special proposal on Crest Road. A couple of weeks before, he knocked on a stranger’s door and asked if he could propose in their front yard! I love the gumption!! He lined the steps with small vases of blue hydrangeas – Emily’s favourite flower – and had champagne flutes ready for the celebration. It was precious to watch Emily’s reaction because she had NO IDEA! That’s the best part about it.

Having talked about marriage, they knew they were heading in that direction, but Emily didn’t think the proposal would be until the end of summer, seeing as her sister was due any day with her first baby. But, everyone was able to come in town (even her sister, who was two weeks away from her due date!) to celebrate these two at a surprise party afterward.

I’m so happy for the future Dukes, and can’t wait to photograph their wedding on October 30!
