Eight years ago, they started dating and it was love from the get-go. They’re still as giggly as they were from day one, and their love for each other is tender and sweet. I love watching couples interact, but especially couples who genuinely love being around each other. It’s a special thing to witness two best friends about to embark on the journey of marriage together.
We had such an enjoyable time during their engagement session as we walked across Samford’s campus — where Leah will begin at PA school and Preston will begin at Beeson Divinity School this fall. I loved showing them a few of the ropes on campus and taking them to my favourite spots.
After their Samford tour, we journeyed on to Lover’s Leap by Tip Top Grill to pay homage to Leah’s grandfather, who spent every morning for decades sitting out at Lover’s Leap. The place was deserted and we had the streaming sun all to ourselves. It was an honour for me to document part of their story and I’m so looking forward to photographing their wedding on July 18!
