He just called her out of the blue one day.
Matt + Mary Catherine had been attending First Baptist Trussville, where MC grew up and Matt is on staff, for quite a few years. They knew of each other, but it wasn’t until friends put bugs in both of their ears indicating that the other was single. MC was taken aback, but agreed to a date and fell in love with Matt over the course of the next few months.
I love their story, because it is marked by God’s patience and kindness. Neither of them seemed in a rush, but God gently put MC in Matt’s path. I’ve had the joy of being in Community Group with them for the past year, and Matt quickly introduced MC into the group. His intentionality and desire for MC to get to know his friends and family communicates how much Matt values his people’s input. MC fit right in from the get-go, and we couldn’t imagine any two people better suited for each other! MC is the life of the party, and the way Matt looks at her would make anyone melt.
We had a complete blast at Lover’s Leap and walking around Mountain Brook for their engagement session. July 10 is going to be an extremely special day, and I can’t wait to photograph it!
