George preached his first sermon at Shades today, and it was a monumental morning for our church!
Last week, I had the great pleasure of photographing the Wright family downtown. Their facial expressions as we crested the overlook were priceless, and if they didn’t love Birmingham already, I think that view sent them over the edge! (Thankfully not literally … we were at an overlook, after all) They came dressed to the nines and the sun graced us with some angelic rays on Crest Road, and later on a parking deck downtown.
Each family member is a great conversationalist, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy time together. We had a blast at dinner afterward, and I’m so excited for the ways we get to serve together in the years ahead!
If you don’t have a church home yet, I’d encourage you to check out Shades! We’re in a new, exciting season with a new pastor and I believe the Lord is going to stretch us through His Word and His mission to reach the lost. I’ve been a church member for 10 years now (wut), and it’s a place where I’ve been discipled, disciple others, use my gifts, make community and worship freely. I’d love for you to join me!
