Best Birmingham Alabama Wedding Venues

Recently I had the pleasure of embarking on “Tour De Birmingham Venues.” It was so much fun to meet venue coordinators and find out alllll sorts of helpful information about the best places in Birmingham to get married! Not to mention, spending an hour in each of these stunning locations was kind of a dream. I mean, what a great thing to live in a city with venue options that cater to every bride’s style!

My hope is to be a helpful resource for current and future couples as they make decisions on where to celebrate their marriage. So, without further ado, I’m excited to share some of my Birmingham favourites with you, complete with helpful information and pictures for each place! The Theodore

This is a stunning venue – opened just a few years ago – that has white stamped brick, tons of natural light and large spaces to accomodate guests and the wedding party. It’s extremely spacious and has so much potential for creativity! With beautifully tiled bathrooms and grand, historic doors, this is definitely a winner. Iron City

Right in the heart of downtown, Iron City is most known for its concert scene. But on the weekends it turns into a magnificent wedding venue! The staff is amazing and walking into this venue feels like there’s a party about to start. If you’re looking for a venue with room to get your groove on, mingle and eat good food to celebrate, this is it! ironcitybham.com.

• Venue is attached to Iron City Grille, with an extensive menu

• Upstairs and downstairs seating options

• Built-in bar

Honeywood Valley

This venue is a breath of fresh air! The beautiful stillness will lure you in, along with the breathtaking views, cozy rooms and large space. Nestled on a perfect 800 acres, it’s just south of Birmingham… one of those places for a perfect retreat. Wedding party and family can choose to spend the night before at Honeywood Valley, and this venue has really outdone itself when it comes to the rooms and bathrooms. honeywoodvalley.com.

• Private porch for bride + groom to eat the first meal

• 4-5 bedrooms and bathrooms

• Two venue options: main cabin or open hillside chapel

Swann Lake Stables

The individual stables are named after horses owned by the family, and there are personal touches everywhere. It’s a high-class yet family-owned business (think the Chick-fil-A of wedding venues). With brilliant client service, openness to creativity and a stunning location, Swann Lake Stables is one of my favourites! swannlakestables.com.

• No required vendors

• Two ceremony options: inside/outside the stables or by the Cahaba River

• Getting ready space and bedroom

• Outdoor lawn for games or a firepit

 

Hoover Randle Home and Gardens

It’s historic and right on the cusp of Hoover. It’s slightly tucked away, but if you drive past it there’s no mistaking that this venue is gorgeous! At every twist and turn walking through the house, there’s incredible art and hand crafted furniture. With an inviting and warm feel, there’s no doubt that a wedding at this venue is a family affair. hooverrandlehome.com.

Soireé Event Gallery

I was so impressed! This venue has two spaces to entertain guests, including gorgeous chandeliers adorning the large ballroom. It’s quite new on the scene, but you would never guess it from the kind and thoughtful service from their team. This venue is hopping on the weekends and adds such a fun flair to the Birmingham venue offering!

• Fits up to 400 in room 1; fits up to 200 in room 2

• Fully customizable room design with venue-owned pipe and drape

• 300+ parking spots

• Chairs, linens and tables included

• Preferred caterer but all other vendors not required

 

 

Gabrella Manor

It has all the makings of a fairytale… sweeping balconies, ivy-covered walls, stained glass, secret rooms.. really, what more could you want for an epic wedding? But don’t get me wrong.. the outside ceremony space is pure magic and the adjacent covered tent is always up to ensure that your dream wedding happens outdoors even if it rains.

• Fits up to 70 indoors, 250 outdoors

• Required florist and caterer

• Two ceremony options: inside/outside the stables or by the Cahaba River

• Large bridal and groom suites

• Outdoor lawn for games or a firepit

 

 

Clubhouse on Highland

It’s a gem of Highland Park, seated on a hill for all to see. It’s definitely got some historic vibes as noted by the greenery on the brick, tiling on the floor and quirky door knobs. A quaint or mid-size wedding would be a perfect fit for this stunning venue. Can you envision it… walking down the grand staircase to guests spilling onto the front porch for corn hole and guests in the back chatting under the twinkly lights? Yep, I’m getting the feels.

The Sonnet House

A 101-year-old wedding venue on a peaceful road in Leeds but 10 miles from the city? Can’t get much better than that! The Sonnet House is a gem among Birmingham venues with so many ceremony/reception options, exceptional service and quality. Here are a few tidbits of info about what makes them great!

• Sweet spot capacity is 50-250, depending on the set up

• Required florist and catering

• Optional planning services

• Two outdoor spaces (fireplace and patio) and two indoor spaces (chapel and house)

• In-house design services for customizable items

 

 

Camelot Manor

This 1880 house is a Highway 280 gem! A dark, moody house transformed into a white and gold beauty, Camelot Manor is the perfect addition to the Birmingham wedding scene. The owners are service-oriented and have massive plans for this place in the future.

• Large firepit for guests and many antique decorative items to choose from
