Abbey + Jacob: Dawson Memorial Baptist Church

One of my favorite parts of the wedding photography process is just getting to know each of my couples! All throughout their journey, Abbey and Jacob just wanted to simply get married. Of course, all the wedding details were thoughtful and lovely, but their relationship was always the most important part!

We spent the whole day at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. Abbey and Jacob’s church community is very special to them, and plenty of their church family was in attendance!

I loved watching their first look. These are some of the most special moments I get to witness. It’s such a privilege!

Before the ceremony, we took a moment to capture a few sweet family photos. And a first look with dad!

Abbey and Jacob smiled throughout the whole entire ceremony! This was the moment they’d been waiting for, and they savored every second!

Afterwards, everyone gathered for the reception! The newlyweds ate cookies, cut cake and spent plenty of time in community with their guests before heading out for arguably my favorite part of the day!

The last two hours of coverage were spent on a parking deck with a turquoise classic car! It belonged to a very generous family friend, and was the PERFECT prop for some awesome photos. We even had a few Marilyn Monroe moments. So cool!

Lastly, we headed up to Crest Road for some gorgeous views and tasty reception snacks. It was absolutely freezinggggg up there, but Abbey and Jacob had that “just married” warmth and got to eat Cookie Fix so we really can’t complain!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to all the vendors that made this day possible for Abbey and Jacob! We couldn’t have done it without you.
