Cherie + Andrew: Timber Valley Lodge

September 16th, 2023, will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was a day full of worship, happy tears, and thankfulness! Cherie and Andrew’s wedding at Timber Valley Lodge in Fayette, AL was an incredible celebration of love and faith.

Cherie and Andrew were surrounded by family and friends all day long, and their relationships with those closest to them were beautiful to witness. Cherie’s first look with her father was especially touching!

All morning, Andrew was patiently waiting for his first look with his beautiful bride. Little did he know, his groomsmen had a few tricks up their sleeves. They threw one of the groomsmen into an old wedding dress and pranked Andrew into thinking it was his first look with Cherie! The entire wedding party couldn’t stop laughing. Absolutely hilarious!

Finally, Cherie and Andrews actual first look! Let’s just say, it was worth the wait.

Next, we met up with some family and the wonderful wedding party to take a few photos before guests started arriving! Even in the September heat, this group was allllll smiles.

Both Cherie and Andrew had walked through heartbreak before meeting each other, so their union felt like a true miracle! Finally, as said in Song of Solomon 3:4, “I have found the one whom my soul loves!” As I captured their commitment to one another, it was evident that they were not only uniting in love, but in faith as well.

I was in awe after this beautiful ceremony. I couldn’t believe the beauty I had just witnessed! And I was so thankful to call Cherie and Andrew my friends.

Cherie took a moment to pull me aside during her own wedding day, offering specific encouragement about my love life, even in the midst of her own joy! It was a testament to her character and the kind of person she is: always thinking of others, even on her special day.

Cherie and Andrew couldn’t have been more excited to spend the rest of the night celebrating with friends and family!

One of the most moving moments of the day was when Andrew and his mother took to the dance floor for their Mother/Son dance, swaying to the melodic tune of “Goodness of God.” There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Andrew and his mother danced with tears streaming down their faces while Cherie took to the side, hands raised in the air, lost in worship.

Cherie, true to her vibrant personality, was the life of the dance floor, and Andrew kept up with her every step of the way! Cherie’s careful planning made the reception a truly worshipful, joyful and honouring experience for all their guests.
