There was an instant connection, a follow up call and months of dating that ensued. It just seemed to fit and brought a lot of peace! ⁠

Addison spent the past seven years of his life working with a Christian organization in China, giving his life to Gospel outreach. COVID forced his team to come back to the States, leaving behind their possessions and apartments with no return date in sight. It was a challenging time, but the Lord was gracious to bring him and Emily together to give him a safe place to land, a new joy to experience and an amazing person to spend his days with. 🤩⁠

Emily and I lived together for three years, and I treasure our time as roommates! She’s fun, steady, the life of the party, generous, hospitable, caring and all the attributes you would want in a friend. She’s trusted the Lord through the ups and downs of adulthood, and took her relationship with Addison step by step when he came into the picture. It was a beautiful thing to watch and I could say way more about how kind the Lord has been, but some of that I’ll just keep in my heart to remember. 🥰⁠

Their wedding day was calm. It just felt so right and normal but incredibly special all at the same time. Nothing felt forced, and if it ever did, Addison and Emily always found a way to infuse life and laughs into a moment. It was one of the greatest honours of my life to photograph their wedding!
