From the moment I walked into the bridal room on Saturday, February 9, I was greeted by a GLOWING bride. She gave a hug, commented on my earrings and said “I’m so excited you’re here!!”
You know you’re photographing an amazing couple when they take the time to notice others on their wedding day.
We started with lovely details on the church steps – items passed down generations, an old Bible and the most beautiful purple shoes, and the day was underway! Over the course of eight hours, Julie and Alex committed their lives to one another, spent the morning with their people, danced until they sweated, enjoyed a Railroad Park sunset for portraits, chatted with family and friends and ate some GOOD cake! Now, that’s why people say wedding days are exhausting! Those are some big moments that I’m thankful to photograph.
I’m grateful for these two and their example — through the process of wedding planning, they prayed about every decision. Each vendor was intentional. Each scheduled item meant something to them. Every conversation mattered. And that’s what a wedding day should look like!
