Michelle + Drew: The Barn At Shady Lane

June 10, 2023 was a beautiful, hot, joyful day of celebration. Michelle and Drew’s incredible friends and family gathered at The Barn at Shady Lane to cheer on this sweet couple! The day began as it always does for me: creating some unique detail shots! Michelle provided me with some of the most gorgeous purple flowers to match her color scheme. It made my job easy!

Michelle and Drew put on their finishing touches before getting in place for their first look! My favorite moment from the day was Drew’s loud “WOW” at seeing his bride for the first time. She truly took his breath away and it was so precious to witness.

Here are a few of my favorites from the bridal portraits we did in the weeks before the wedding. It was the perfect way to get excited for the big day!

Michelle’s first look with her dad was so touching. Both of her parents could not have been more proud of their sweet girl!

This wedding party brought some awesome energy to the day, even in the sweltering heat. They couldn’t have been more excited to cheer on their friends!

By this point, we all had sweat dripping down our legs (it was so hot), so we stepped inside to clean up while guests began to arrive for the ceremony! It was such a beautiful celebration of Christ’s love for the Church, and Michelle and Drew’s love for each other. They had a special unity sand portion of the service that was especially sweet to witness.

While guests filed into the reception, we took a moment to take a few more photos as HUSBAND AND WIFE! Gotta show off those rings!!!

Michelle and Drew were excited to get out of the heat and enter their reception where they partied the night away! They wrote a letter to EVERY couple that attended the wedding. It was so extremely thoughtful. The letters served as the guests’ seating assignment as well! Each of the guests had an opportunity to write something back to Michelle and Drew, and I know those precious messages will be loved and cherished in the years to come.
