Morgan + Jackson: The Lumpkin House

April 29, 2023 was Morgan and Jackson’s WEDDING DAY! I drove to Guntersville, Alabama that morning excited and ready to photograph a beautiful day for the soon-to-be Menefees.

I met this sweet couple when Jackson asked me to photograph their proposal! I feel lucky to have been alongside them throughout the whole engagement process. They’ve been together for quite some time now, so I know they were anxious to tie the knot!

Morgan and Jackson’s wedding was The Lumpkin House’s debut. The owners of the venue own the home that is adjacent to the venue space. They are absolutely incredible and helped make the day run so smoothly! The landscaping really showcases their attention to detail and provided the most beautiful spot for Morgan and Jackson’s first look.

Morgan’s bouquet is one of my all-time favorites! I loved all the yellows and oranges. Bring on the colour!

They even had this GORGEOUS vintage Chevrolet as their getaway car. We had to take some photos with it before the ceremony!

We joined back up with the wedding party and they were SO excited to see their sweet friends. There’s nothing better than an amazing support team on your wedding day!

Morgan had a sweet first look with her father. Her family was gathered around to watch and looked so happy to be together celebrating their girl.

Morgan and Jackson grew up in the church they got married in! Is that not the sweetest thing? Who could’ve guessed that the kids running around the pews all those years ago would end up getting married!?

After the ceremony we met up with all the guests at the Lumpkin House! I loved that their reception was both indoors and outdoors. There was so much space and plenty of gorgeous ground to cover! I think my favorite spot was under the massive oak tree.

The sun went down, and the lawn somehow turned even more magical!

It really seems like Morgan and Jackson had the best day. And they had a TON of fun on the dance floor! Plus, in the middle of the reception, Morgan’s dad announced that one of Jackson’s groomsmen was getting drafted into he NFL! So cool!
