When Katie and Bradley showed up at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in their outfits my first thought was, “Oh, this is gonna be GOOD.” As you’ll see, Katie wore an amazing yellow dress that made her hair look golden. The Botanical Gardens finally bloomed, and she stood out from the green in the most beautiful way. There may’ve been a wardrobe malfunction at one point, but it made for a hilarious night full of laughs and fun together in Mountain Brook!

If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you’ll have heard this story before. But Katie took my job at Samford whenever I left to go full time with photography. She is talented, spunky, smart, kind, thoughtful and godly, and I couldn’t imagine anyone better to fill the role! We’ve been able to bond over marketing and Samford, but I’m also grateful to have found a friend in her recently.

She told me her and Bradley’s story over dinner at Brick and Tin a few months ago, and it was really sweet to see them in action at their engagement session. They’re a great compliment to the other – Bradley is steady, peaceful, and quietly humorous while Katie cracks jokes and brings life wherever she goes. I’m so excited for these two as they journey through engagement to marriage in January 2020!
