Sometimes life can get in the way of actually dating. If you and your significant other have been together for a long time, there’s a tendency to cruise and not continue pursuing the other. But if you’re in love, there will always be things to discover about them. My encouragement to any and all couples is this: never stop dating. Time flies by, and months can go by without intentional time together. So this blog post is purposed to provide ideas for a fun date night!
Do you ever run out of date ideas with your babe? Here are 10 ideas I’ve come up with as an Atlanta, GA wedding photographer, ranging from free to fancy!
Say hello to the newest “boutique bar, bowling and entertainment venue” in Buckhead! From bocce ball to to shuffleboard to skee-ball, you’re in for an evening of fun at The Painted Pin.
Ponce City Market came in hot on the scene a few years ago, and it’s no wonder Atlanta loves it! They have beautiful home stores, quirky interactive experiences and a variety of food and desserts on offer.
The Belt Line is a long walking/cycling trail that weaves throughout the city with impeccable restaurants lining the sides. A cycling spree before your meal makes for the perfect combo!
Unfortunately, there aren’t any dancing goats in the coffee house. But maybe you’ll feel like a dancing goat after tasting their coffee? I’m not sure, but it’s a great spot well-loved by Atlantans.
Have a classic Atlanta night by eating in the CNN Center (their food court is awesome… for a food court), moseying through Centennial Olympic Park and making your way to the Sun Dial for dessert.
Every now and then you’ve got to feel like you’re in a Hallmark movie. A drive-in movie (accompanied by a Sonic corndog or whatever you fancy… my favourite is popcorn chicken!) is soooo romantic and your significant other will love snuggling up and enjoying a movie. And honestly, neither of you will be paying much attention to the movie because holding hands is just.dang.fun.
Since the Braves relocated to SunTrust Park, The Battery is booming with life! With restaurants, shopping and a view of the stadium, it’s an exciting place for a date.
All of Atlanta comes to Piedmont Park for frisbee, walks, photoshoots, picnics and seeing the city skyline. The Meadow inside the park is the best place to see the skyline, and it’s a huge green area to spread out and enjoy an evening together.
This really needs no other explanation because ice cream experts (aka my friends) say that Jeni’s is unbeatable when it comes to fantastic ice cream. How can you resist?!
