Abby + Aaron: The Barn at Shady Lane

I am beyond excited to finally share all the beautiful moments from Abby and Aaron’s wedding day! I had so much fun editing their gallery and reliving all the fun we had throughout the day. I can honestly say I have never laughed so hard at at wedding! Abby, Aaron and their incredible crew of friends and family were such a joy to be around all day long.

Abby’s vivacious personality and infectious laughter kept us all smiling and motivated every step of the way! From the moment I arrived that morning, she and her bridesmaids were dancing, cracking jokes and truly enjoying the excitement of the day. It can be hard to feel like you’re living “in the moment” on your wedding day, but Abby seized every moment possible!

One of the most touching moments of the day was the first look that Abby requested with her family. Having known Abby’s family for a while, it was such a privilege to witness and capture this heartwarming moment when the whole Childs crew came to share their love and support!

I knew Abby and Aaron couldn’t wait another second to see each other, so we quickly got them set up and ready for their first look! The Barn at Shady Lane has a million beautiful backdrops, but we chose a sweet outcropping of trees for this special moment. The weather was, thankfully, on our side, with the mild September breeze making Abby’s 3/4-length sleeve gown a perfect choice for the day.

After Abby and Aaron’s first look, we met up with the wedding party for some group photos! I was so thankful for such a great, lively bunch that made this portion of the day so fun! The groomsmen may have gotten a little carried away with throwing Aaron in the air, but hey, I’ll do almost anything for a cool photo!

Guests began arriving shortly after we finished up with the wedding party, so we quickly hid Abby and Aaron away to rest before the ceremony. This is typically when the anxious “oh my goodness I’m about to get married” jitters set in, but these two kept their cool and radiated nothing but pure excitement!

Abby and Aaron were finally married! As the reality of their marriage set in, we ventured away from the crowds to enjoy the sunset and take their first photos as MR. AND MRS. FRANCIS!!!

Next up, we headed on over to join guests at the reception! To add a dash of fun and caffeine to the celebration, Abby and Aaron treated their guests to a coffee truck! It was a huge hit, and people went all out ordering Frappuccinos with extra whipped cream. It was a fantastic addition to the night!
